June 9 San Vicente to Llanes 31 miles

It looked like this when we left this morning.
And the sun never did shine.  Cool riding conditions prevailed.  Today's trip should have been 20 miles but we followed some very small roads that took us over hill and dale and hill and hill until we found N634 which took us into Llanes. No traffic and manageable hills made it a fun riding day.

Here's Craig asking for directions while 5 dogs were yipping in the background.  There are many homes with dogs but all are contained. No worries there.

We arrived in Llanes about 3 and are now relaxing in our hotel as we transition to the Vaughantown segment.

We're at Hotel San Rocas for the night .  We said good bye to our bikes as they will stay here in a garage until we return next Friday or Saturday.

Tomorrow we take the bus to Madrid.

At dinner tonight we ran into Sylvia from Germany. She's hiking the whole route and we've seen her a couple times now in different towns and along the route.

Oh and the Italian woman from Modena- she keeps popping up.

Just like on the Camino Frances.

But on this route, many locals; fewer tourists.  On the Camino Frances many peregrinos, fewer tourists.

July and August are the main season. Super crowded then.
